The long-awaited division two league which was expected to starts in January 2021 will finally start in various venue in Freetown on Sunday 21st February 2021 at the Kallon playing field at Angola town Sierra FC will battle with Luawa Fc in an exciting encounter.
According to the CEO of Sierra FC Ibrahim Conteh he wants to see his team promoted to the first division side, then finally to the premier league which is one of their aims to start representing the country in club international competition organized by FIFA and CAF.
According to the captain of the Sierra FC Morlai A. Kargbo as a team they are prepared and well-focused to secure all three vital points
The technical Director of Sierra FC Sam Ngobeh said they have been waiting for this moment as he wants to see his team in action after several months during the banning of sporting activities.
And he said as a team they are focus to secure their first three vital points and want to assured their fans and management their aims and focus is to lead the group and finally promoted to the first division
David Gerald Turner Head of Media and Communications of Western Area Football Association said 50 teams will take part in the competition and they have been divided into five groups and each team is expected to play 9 matches.
He also revealed that four teams in each group will relegate to Division 3 and 6 teams in each group will stay in division 2 and the first 3 teams in each group will go for playoffs.
