In a spectacle that gripped the football enthusiasts of the Freetown peninsula, Sierra FC faced their first finale defeat against the formidable FC Kallon at the MK 3/10 Playing Field in the Angola Town community. The well-attended final, organized by the legendary Mohamed Kallon, showcased an impressive performance by both teams, leaving an indelible mark on the Mohamed Kallon U17 Tournament 2023.
Sierra FC made an impactful start, taking the lead in the first 14 minutes of play, demonstrating their skill and determination. However, FC Kallon mounted a spirited comeback in the second half, equalizing and securing the winning goal in the 89th minute of play. The intense competition and sportsmanship displayed by both sides added to the excitement of this highly anticipated final.
In a gracious acknowledgment of their efforts, Sierra FC received the second runner-up position, along with a Silver ๐ฅ Trophy and 30 brand new balls presented by the organizer, Mohamed Kallon.
