Two Sierra FC players who are former Craig Bellamy Academy Boys, Umaru Samura and Santigie Koroma have signed with Cambodia side Koh Kong Football Club on loan from Sierra FC for the Cambodia League 2 season 2022/23.

Both Umaru and Santigie have been influential for Sierra FC in the past months and they were regular starters for the Freetown based football club.

Their move to Cambodia was a loan deal accepted by the CEO of Sierra FC, Ibrahim Conteh who is working hard to get more lads to play professional football outside Sierra Leone, as his way of promoting the game.

According to Koh Kong, Umaru Samura and Santigie Samura have all agreed to join the second division side till the rest of the season.

Umaru Samura, who received his first national call up for Sierra Leone in the independent match against Liberia in 2018, will be challenging for a place in the Koh kong Senior team.

The two players are amongst the most accomplished since the academy was launched to help children in Sierra Leone reach their potential true education and sports.

The club posted, โ€œKoh Kong Fc we are pleased that we have managed to get them to Koh kong and that we can now drive them into the squad and get them into action in this new season.

The great experience both players have had in the past years in Europe will help them to reach their true potential.
